Peter Schiefke was first elected to represent Vaudreuil–Soulanges in 2015 and re-elected in 2019, 2021, and 2025 for the new riding of Vaudreuil.
During his time as a Member of Parliament, he has held several key leadership roles, including:

• Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship
Under Prime Minister Mark Carney, Peter serves as Chair of the Standing Committee on Transport, Infrastructure and Communities, leading work to strengthen the transport sector, modernize infrastructure, and build a more resilient economy for Canadians.
Before entering politics, Peter worked in sustainable development both in Canada and abroad. For over a decade, he led humanitarian programs in Uganda, East Africa, and served as National Director of Climate Reality Canada, founded by former U.S. Vice-President Al Gore.
He holds a bachelor's degree in political science from Concordia University, a Master’s in Renewable Resources from McGill University, and was recently bestowed knighthood from the Kingdon of Spain, receiving the Royal Order of Civil Merit from His Majesty, King Felipe VI. Peter lives in Vaudreuil with his wife and two children.
