CDCP covers children under 18 and adults with disabilities!

On June 27th, the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) expanded to include coverage for adults with a valid Disability Tax Credit certificate, as well as children under 18 who do not already have dental insurance and whose adjusted net family income is below $90,000.00.

Find out how you and your family can benefit from the cost of more affordable dental care with our plan by following the steps below:

  1. Check your eligibility, or that of your children, and submit your application for the CDCP here: canada.ca/dental

  1. After submitting your application for yourself or your eligible children, Sun Life will send you a welcome kit with details about the CDCP, your membership card, and the start date of your coverage.

  1. After receiving your welcome kit, find a CDCP participating provider near you here: sunlife.ca/sl/cdcp/en/member/

  1. Before receiving treatment, contact your dental care provider to verify if your provider agrees to bill Sun Life directly and accept payment for covered services delivered to the CDCP patient.

*If you are covered by the CDCP, you shouldn’t pay the full cost upfront, but you may have to pay any additional charges not covered by the plan directly to the oral health provider.

If you have any questions or would like more information, please do not hesitate to contact my office. My team and I are here to help you take full advantage of the Canadian Dental Care Plan.

In the meantime, I wish you and yours all my very best.

Sincerely,

Member of Parliament, Vaudreuil-Soulanges
