Yesterday in Davos, Switzerland, Prime Minister Mark Carney spoke to the World at the annual Global Economic Forum.
It one of the strongest, most poignant speeches delivered by a Canadian Prime Minister in decades. He spoke about the unprecedented moment we find ourselves in as a global community, and outlined his vision for a more prosperous, just, and safe future.
The global rules Canadians have relied on for decades are rupturing. The need for middle powers like Canada to join together and respond with focus and purpose has never been greater. His message was blunt and captured the urgency of the moment. “You’re either at the table, or on the menu.”
